A VISION FOR THE FUTURE

Now, Eddie is running for New York City Council in District 13 to bring his experience and leadership to the neighborhoods he has long served. His campaign is focused on real solutions that address the needs of our community.

Eddie's Vision

Seniors

Eddie will work to ensure seniors and their families have access to the support and resources they need.

Eddie will provide district-wide information sessions and services to help residents navigate elder care options and improve healthcare access.

Sanitation

Eddie believes every resident deserves clean and safe streets.

Eddie will work with the Department of Sanitation to provide free waste containers for local households, helping to keep our neighborhoods clean.

Transportation

Many parts of District 13 are transportation deserts.

Eddie will work with the Department of Transportation to expand public transit options, including new ferry services to City Island, ensuring better connectivity for residents.

Education

Eddie is committed to investing in early childhood education by ensuring that nonprofit 3K and 4K providers receive timely and appropriate funding.

Eddie will also increase funding for after-school programs, incorporating technology education for elementary, middle, and high school students. Parents will have a greater voice in after-school funding decisions, working directly with school principals to create programs that support their children’s futures.

Workforce Development

Eddie will partner with CUNY officials to establish a Worker Education Program in District 13, providing job training and education opportunities to help residents enter high-demand careers and strengthen our city’s workforce.

Small Businesses

Eddie understands the challenges faced by local entrepreneurs. He will cut through red tape, making it easier for small businesses to open and thrive.

Eddie will expand grant opportunities and provide business owners with better access to city laws, fees, and ordinances, so they can focus on growing and serving their communities.

Environmental Protection

With coastal areas in District 13 at risk from severe weather, Eddie will fight for sustainable infrastructure and disaster preparedness to protect our homes and businesses from hurricanes and superstorms

Public Safety

Eddie believes that every resident deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood. He will work to increase community policing efforts, ensuring officers build stronger relationships with residents. He will also advocate for additional resources for violence prevention programs, mental health crisis intervention teams, and youth engagement initiatives to address crime at its root.

Eddie is committed to ensuring the NYPD is responsive and accountable, while also investing in public safety strategies that make our communities safer for everyone.
